Hamburg Süd opens Nanjing office

Liner carrier Hamburg Süd has opened an office in Nanjing, increasing its operational footprint in China to 20 locations.
All tasks that were previously carried out by the Ben Line agency will in the future be taken over by the new Hamburg Süd office, including sales, customer order management and container and intermodal activities. The office will be headed by Steven Pu, general manager.
“Services to and from Nanjing will be operated using feeder ships from the ports of Shanghai and Ningbo. The new Nanjing office will be responsible for all Hamburg Süd operations in the Yangtze area, the ports of Chongqing and Wuhan, and also Lianyungang,” the carrier said.
