PACER GLOBAL LOGISTICS SIGNS MULTI-YEAR DEAL WITH AEP INDUSTRIES

   Pacer Global Logistics, the logistics division of Pacer International, has signed a multi-year deal to provide supply chain management services to the seven U.S. manufacturing plants of AEP Industries.

   AEP Industries, based in South Hackensack, N.J., produces, markets and distributes plastic packaging products used by the food and beverage, industrial, and agricultural markets. The company also has operations in Canada, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

   Dublin, Ohio-based PGL will provide logistics services to plants operated by AEP industries in Chino, Calif.; Alsip, Ill.; Griffin, Ga.; Matthews, N.C.; Mountaintop, Pa.; and Gainesville and Waxahachie, Texas.

   PGL services will include centralized dispatching using its carrier network to supplement AEP's existing carrier base. PGL will also provide load optimization and Internet-based track-and-trace capabilities.

   PGL is the retail division of Concord, Calif.-based Pacer International, a non-asset-based North American third-party logistics company, and a sister company of Pacer Stacktrain.
