TAPF PREPARES FOR UPCOMING TRADE SUPPORT NETWORK MEETING
Brennan International Transport, a neutral non-vessel-operating common carrier subsidiary of NACA Logistics Group, has increased its “on-forwarding” services to Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa via Antwerp.
The on-forwarding service, which includes rates and transport to about 75 destinations, is the result of Brennan’s recent transatlantic alliance with Ecu-Line N.V. Ecu-Line operates as Brennan’s agent for all cargo carried to Belgium and for transshipment via Antwerp. The Belgian NVO also represents Brennan in France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Some of the destinations that are reached by the on-forwarding service are Albania, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Burundi, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Iceland, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Ivory Coast, Jordan, Kenya, Morocco, Malta, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Tunisoa and Zimbabwe. A complete list of destinations is available on Brennan’s Web site: http://www.brennan-intl.com .
Brennan said the Antwerp hub arrangement shaves days off traditional transshipment services through Europe. The transit times to Malta has decreased by four days. Transshipment sailings to Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya and Morocco have been reduced to 10 days, as opposed to two weeks.
“While there may not be regular volumes to these destinations we want to ensure we are ready to handle inquiries and bookings when they arise,” said Vince Argenzio, vice president of national sales for Brennan.
Weekly services to Antwerp are available from Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, and Seattle. Two weekly sailings are offered from Chicago and New York.
