Troy Container expands LCL service to Italy
Non-vessel-operating common carrier Troy Container Line has expanded its less-than-containerload services to Italy to include the U.S. West Coast.
The NVO previously served the West Coast via door-move only. With new California warehouses in San Francisco and Los Angeles, Troy Container's clients drops freight locally on the West Coast.
Last year, Troy Container advanced its Italy service to a weekly service, from fortnightly. The NVO's new West Coast service will provide even faster delivery directly to Milan for LCL shipments.
“Amid a recovering economy, exporters seek faster ways to get products to their overseas markets while at the same time balancing the cost of transportation,” said Patricia Fitzgerald, Troy Container's senior vice president, in a statement.
Although Troy Container has always heavily focused on the East Coast and Midwest, the decision to expand was conceived to meet the high demands of Troy's clients and its overseas agents.
'This new service definitely broadens our scope and capabilities for both our clients and our agents' clientele,' Fitzgerald said. 'The agents have told us that they're thrilled with the expansion because now when they sell Troy Container Line, they can sell throughout the United States.'
