Swire merges Indotrans loops

Swire merges Indotrans loops

Swire Shipping has reached the final stages of merging its separate Indotrans Main Service and Indotrans Asia multipurpose loop into a single monthly eastbound round-the-world service connecting North America with India, South East Asia, Papua New Guinea, and Polynesia.

The last call at Long Beach by Indotrans Asia will be made by the vessel “Pacific Voyager” Aug. 18, marking the end of that loop as a separate entity. The last westbound sailing of the Indotrans Main service via Suez arrives in Halifax on Aug. 14.

The new five-ship eastbound-only Indotrans service uses five ships on a monthly frequency calling at a more streamlined rotation of: Houston and Freeport, Texas; Camden, N.J.; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Saint John, New Brunswick; Jeddah; Gizan; Mundra; Nhava Sheva; Chennai (or Vishakhapatnam alternately); Singapore; Jakarta; Kimbe; Lae; Pago Pago; Apia; Papeete; and back to Houston.
