ThyssenKrupp, Toepfer take stake in shipping company
The European Commission said it has cleared a proposed joint venture between ThyssenKrupp MinEnergy, Alfred C Toepfer, and Imperial Logistics International.
Thomson Financial reports that under the deal, Imperial will reduce its ownership interest in the German logistics company Brouwer Shipping and Chartering from 90 percent to 30 percent, selling equal shares to ThyssenKrupp and Toepfer. Brouwer's chairman will retain a 10 percent ownership stake.
Brouwer arranges shipment of bulk, heavy lift, project, and container shipments. It also provides for intermodal service as well as customs and agency services.
