Deutsche Post acquires two U.S. mail service companies
German postal and logistics group Deutsche Post said it’s Global Mail USA subsidiary plans to acquire bulk mail consolidator SmartMail Services and catalog fulfillment provider QuikPak Inc.
The two companies will be integrated with home delivery services provided by Deutsche Post subsidiary DHL, the company said.
The move continues Deutsche Post’s expansion in the U.S. market to compete with FedEx and UPS. Last year, Deutsche Post acquired express delivery carrier Airborne Express.
