Kuehne + Nagel buys Scottish forwarder
Kuehne + Nagel International AG, the Swiss freight forwarding and logistics services company, has acquired Glasgow-based freight forwarder Wm. Martin & Co (Marine) Ltd. for an undisclosed amount.
“The acquisition of Wm. Martin is an important factor in our strategy for continued growth and will enable Kuehne + Nagel to reinforce its position as one of the leading players in the wine and spirits logistics market, while considerably strengthening our presence in Scotland,” said Peter Ulber, chief executive of Kuehne + Nagel UK.
