United Alliance members Cho Yang, Hanjin Shipping and Senator Lines are adding the Chinese port of Xingang and dropping Japanese ports of Tokyo and Osaka to their joint weekly transpacific China America Express service at the end of July.
The Chinese carrier Sinotrans takes space on the service.
Effective from July 29, the vessel “Hanjin Los Angeles” will start the new service rotation, which will be Long Beach, Oakland, Busan, Kwangyang, Xingang, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach and Oakland.
On the same day the 4,024-TEU vessel “Hanjin Osaka” is phased into the service at Busan. The vessel replaces the smaller 2,692 TEU ship “Hanjin Vancouver”, which is being phased into the Asia-Europe CEX service.
The CAX service utilizes five ships with an average capacity of 4,134 TEUs.
Details of the revised service are posted on ComPairData, the global shipping database on the Internet at www.compairdata.com.
