SENATOR LINES SETS UP OWN BRANCH IN HONG KONG

   Senator Lines will set up its own branch offices in Hong Kong, effective Jan. 1.

   The branch will replace the carrier’s agent in Hong Kong, Jebsen Shipping Co.

   Senator Lines said that the area of Hong Kong and South China is one of its largest cargo generating areas.

   The decision to open a branch in Hong Kong is in line with Senator Lines’ policy of    setting up a company-owned global sales network. The carrier has established five owned marketing organizations this year.

   The Hong Kong branch will be a part of Senator Lines’ existing Asian profit center, also located in Hong Kong.
