Executive Moves: Cargill, International Business Systems and ClassNK

Cargill appoints head of ocean transportation, while International Business Systems names Americas general manager and ClassNK picks new chairman.

   Jan Dieleman has been named head of Cargill’s ocean transportation business, based in Geneva. He succeeds Roger Janson who has overseen this operation since 2011 and has been appointed to lead Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Dieleman was most recently Cargill’s North America power and gas business head. He joined the company in 1999. Mike Newman has been picked to take over Cargill’s North America power and gas business, based in Houston. 

   International Business Systems (IBS) has appointed Michael Wohlwend general manager of the Americas. Most recently, he was head of global cloud services for Infor. Prior to that, Wohlwend served in senior management at SAP America for six years, including head of Americas cloud unification and vice president of services for SAP’s Midwest region. At Manhattan Associates for seven years, he held senior sales roles.

   Koichi Fujiwara, currently executive vice president at classification society ClassNK, has been appointed as chairman and president. Current executive vice presidents, Yasushi Nakamura and Tetsuya Kinoshita, will continue in their present roles, with Junichiro Iida joining the company as managing director. Noboru Ueda has stepped down as chairman and president.
