U.S./AUSTRALIA LINES PLAN RATE HIKES, CHASSIS CHARGE FOR 2001
British Airways World Cargo has confirmed its commitment to Global Freight Exchange, or GF-X, the Internet marketplace for air freight transactions, following a pilot program involving major freight forwarding customers.
Following the pilot program, across a limited number of services using GF-X as a distribution channel,' said Paul Burton, general manager of business development at World Cargo. 'We are satisfied with the results and, with new organizations joining the GF-X trading community, we believe there is long-term potential for this industry portal.'
