NIT LEAGUE APPOINTS COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN
The U.S. National Industrial Transportation League has appointed chairmen of its standing committees.
John Amos, of Amos Logistics, is chairman of the ocean transportation committee; Jeff Lehman, of Transecon Associates Inc., will chair the air transportation committee; Phil Marlino, Conoco Inc., chairman of the railroad transportation committee; Keith Kennedy, Howard Industries, chairman of auditing; Looman Stingo, of Holcim (US) Inc., chairman for the domestic waterways transportation committee; Mike Regan, Tranzact Technologies Inc., chairman of education; Steve Hawks, Hawks Logistics Inc., chairman of hazardous materials transport and environmental issues committee; John Gentle, Owens Corning, chairman of highway transportation; and Candice Kline, Optimum Logistics, chair of the information technology advancement committee.
The NIT League has also appointed three “at-large members” to serve on its board of directors: Albert J. Giunchi, director of distribution logistics, The Hartz Mountain Corp., Secaucus, N.J.; Van L. Hayes Jr., manager transportation support services, Vulcan Materials Co., Birmingham, Ala.; and Robert Pugh, vice president, transportation and logistics, Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta, Ga.
