iContainers opens branch in Rotterdam

Online freight forwarder iContainers already had offices in Florida, India and Spain prior to the opening of its newest office in Rotterdam.

   Online freight forwarder iContainers opened a new branch at the Port of Rotterdam, the company said Thursday.
   iContainers’ platform, which allows users to access thousands of ocean freight routes and quotes within seconds, compares, books, manages and keeps track of commercial shipments from the web without intermediaries.
   In addition to the new office in Rotterdam, iContainers already had offices in Florida; Ahmedabad, India; and at its headquarters in Barcelona, Spain.
   iContainers said the new office in Rotterdam is a crucial part of its three-year expansion plan, in which it aims to strengthen its grip on the ocean freight market by placing itself in main strategic logistics hubs throughout the world.
