SEARS RENEWS LINK WITH EXE TECHNOLOGIES

EXE Technologies Inc., a Dallas-based provider of electronic commerce fulfillment, warehousing and distribution software, said Monday that Sears, Roebuck and Co., the giant retailer of apparel, home and automobile products, had renewed its corporate commitment to EXE as a supply chain execution partner.

Before using EXE’s software, Sears “was running a homegrown solution that did not manage the warehouse well,” said Jay Larmee, vice president of logistics systems at Sears.

“Since our first implementation in 1999, we have chosen to continue with EXE because of the custom functionality we require to operate our supply chain efficiently,” Larmee said.

Sears has annual revenue of more than $40 billion.
