United’s February cargo volumes drop 0.6%
United Airlines reported a 0.6 percent year-on-year decrease in cargo volume for February at 160.9 million system cargo ton-miles, compared to 161.9 million system cargo ton-miles in the same month last year.
In February, United’s freight improved 1.2 percent to 131.2 million cargo ton-miles, while mail was down 8.1 percent to 29.6 million cargo ton-miles.
After the first two months of 2006, United’s system cargo ton-miles are up 1.7 percent to 320.6 million, from 315.2 million after the same period last year.
