BNSF, CSX INTERMODAL TO PROVIDE CALIFORNIA/SOUTHEAST INTERMODAL LINK
Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Co., through a haulage agreement with CSX Intermodal, on Wednesday began a premium intermodal trailer service between Los Angeles and San Bernardino, Calif., and Atlanta.
The service departs Wednesdays through Sundays in both directions and improves transit times by about half a day.
'BNSF is giving its customers improved speed and reliability into two large parcel and less-than-truckload transcontinental markets — Southern California and the Southeast via Atlanta,” said John Lucas, assistant vice president, intermodal direct marketing.”
