UPS CAPITAL TO OFFER ELECTRONIC BILLING
UPS Capital Corp., a United Parcel Service subsidiary that provides trade financing to shippers, has partnered with two Internet companies to offer online bill presentment and payment services.
UPS said it teamed with Bottomline Technologies and Princeton eCom to develop services targeted at the high-volume billing needs of business-to-business transactions. UPS Capital will offer cash management solutions to reduce days sales outstanding, cut administrative costs and streamline business transactions through Bottomline’s NetTransact. Princeton eCom brings advanced security, system scalability and complete online service access.
Other UPS companies, including UPS e-Ventures, will leverage electronic billing to facilitate global e-commerce, UPS said.
UPS Capital is testing the system with select clients, including Affiliated Computer Services Inc., and expects to roll out a commercial service this year.
