OOCL christens third 8,063-TEU ship
Hong Kong-based OOCL has christened the third of a series of new 8,063-TEU “SX-class” post-Panamax container vessels.
The “OOCL Rotterdam” was built by the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries. The new ship and its sister vessels are the largest container vessels ever built by Samsung.
The “OOCL Rotterdam” will be deployed in China Europe Express loop of the Grand Alliance.
OOCL will take delivery of another three 8,063-TEU vessels this year.
