UPS to add about 95,000 jobs for holiday season

The Atlanta, Ga.-based parcel giant said it expects to hire about 95,000 seasonal employees for the holiday season.

UPS expects to hire about 95,000 seasonal employees to support the expected increase in shipments that will begin in November and continue through January 2017, the company said.
The Atlanta, Ga.-based parcel giant said the seasonal job openings will include both full-time and part-time positions, primarily for package handlers, drivers and driver-helpers.
“From the 2012 through 2014 holiday seasons, over 37 percent of the people UPS hired for seasonal package handler jobs were later hired in a permanent position when the holidays were over,” UPS said.
