MAERSK INTRODUCES EUROPE/MONTREAL EQUIPMENT SURCHARGE
Maersk Line is implementing a westbound equipment imbalance surcharge of
$250 (U.S.) per dry container on its non-conference northern Europe/Canada service.
The surcharge will be effective on Oct. 10.
Maersk’s Canada service, operated jointly with P&O Nedlloyd and NYK,
calls at Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felixstowe and Montreal.
Other carriers in the Europe/Canada trade have also announced that they are
implementing a $250 surcharge.
