BUSH NAMES HEAD OF DOT TRANSITION TEAM
President-elect George W. Bush has chosen the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s chief of staff Jack Schenendorf to head the transition team at the Department of Transportation.
Schenendorf’s appointment drew support from National Industrial Transportation (NIT) League president Ed Emmett, who has been cited as a candidate for Secretary of Transportation in the Bush Administration.
Of all possible choices, Schendorf “has perhaps the broadest perspective of DOT,” Emmett said.
