COSCO adds South Pacific connections
COSCO Container Lines is starting transshipment container services via Singapore and Auckland to the south Pacific islands this month (November).
COSCO said it can now ship cargoes from Europe, the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia, India, Hong Kong and China, via Singapore, to Apia, Western Samoa; Pago Pago, American Samoa; Nukualofa, Tonga; Rarotonga, Cook Islands; Suva/Lautoka, Fiji; and Papeete, Tahiti.
Additionally, cargo from Japan, Korea and Taiwan can be shipped to Suva/Lautoka, Fiji, via Auckland.
