COSCO ORDERS PANAMAX BULK SHIPS
China Ocean Shipping Co. has ordered eight Panamax bulk ships for
the account of its subsidiary COSCO (Hong Kong) Ltd.
The ships will be built by the Hudong and Jiangnan shipyards in China.
The eight vessels, due to be delivered in 2001, are in addition to the
two Panamax bulkers ordered earlier this year by COSCO Hong Kong from Oshima Shipyard in
Japan.
