VIEWLOCITY FORMS JAPANESE SUBSIDIARY
' Viewlocity, an Atlanta-based provider of supply chain management software and services, has announced the launch of Viewlocity Japan, in association with Softbank Internet Technology Funds.
Viewlocity has also formed a strategic alliance with NTT Comware Corp., part of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp.
According to a company statement, Viewlocity Japan will help Japanese companies “replace inventory with information by bridging the gap between traditional supply chain planning and real-life supply chain execution.”
“This joint initiative should not be viewed as Viewlocity’s initial flag-raising in Japan,” said Greg Cronin, chief executive officer of Viewlocity. “Rather, it represents the next stage in our Asia Pacific strategy.” Viewlocity already has more than 100 customers in the region.
