Fraser River Port box volumes up 23%
Box volumes at Canada’s Fraser River Port increased 23 percent to 284,849 TEUs through the first three quarters of 2005 compared to the same nine-month period last year.
Import and export growth rates for container traffic were relatively equal over the period, with exports growing 21 percent, and imports improving 25 percent.
The port’s total international and domestic cargo throughput for the three quarter of 2005 increased 8 percent to 29.2 million tons.
