Environmental report for obsolete U.S.-flag ships for scrapping
The U.S. Maritime Administration has released its environmental assessment of nine obsolete vessels from the James River Reserve Fleet for scrapping in the Able U.K. yard in Teeside, U.K.
The report studied the potential environmental effects related to the transfer of the vessels for disposal, MarAd said.
The report is available online at http://www.marad.dot.gov. Comments on the report are due to MarAd by no later than March 29.
