U.S. Customs terminates paperless drawback prototype
U.S. Customs and Border Protection has ended its paperless drawback prototype, citing that its current automated system does not adequately support this type of filing.
The prototype tested the feasibility of filing paperless drawback claims using the Automated Broker Interface of Customs' Automated Commercial System. The agency started the prototype two years ago and spent last year analyzing the results.
