Executive moves: Waukegan Port District and MIQ Logistics

Waukegan Port District has named a new manager, while MIQ appoints L.A.-area business development manager.

Randy Rogers was recently named general manager of the Waukegan Port District in Illinois. He will promote commercial shipping at the Great Lakes port, as well as help to expand the runway at the Waukegan National Airport. The port owns the Waukegan Terminal Dock, which is operated by Lafarge and St. Mary’s Cement. National Gypsum also operates at the dock to receive product by vessel. Rogers spent 21 years at the U.S. Maritime Administration before joining the port district.

MIQ Logistics appointed Denisse Gutierrez as business development manager for the Los Angeles area. She joined the operations unit at MIQ Logistics six years ago, and prior to that was with Italian freight forwarder Savino Del Bene.
