DANZAS ANNOUNCES NEW GLOBAL AIR-FREIGHT STRATEGY
Danzas, the logistics arm of Deutsche Post World Net, said on Thursday that it has refocused its global air cargo business on a selected number of core carriers to increase centralization and more efficient control of air-freight volumes.
To achieve that end, Danzas invited about 30 airlines to London for a meeting this week, where it outlined its new approach to them.
To be short-listed by Danzas for this effort, carriers need to meet certain criteria, which would include adoption of Cargo 2000 and GF-X, two consortia that include air carriers.
“The selected partner carriers will be able to benefit not only from better planning, but also from substantial volume growth,” Danzas said.
