Memphis chassis pool open
Consolidated Chassis Management (CCM), an affiliate of the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association Inc., Monday established a chassis pool at the BNSF Railway Co. intermodal facility in Memphis.
The pool is the third in a program designed by the Ocean Carrier Equipment Management Association to establish chassis pools at U.S. port and inland intermodal locations to reduce the number of chassis required to be stored at the terminals and nearby facilities.
The Memphis pool is owned by Mid-South Consolidated Chassis Pool LLC, a subsidiary of CCM, and is managed by TRAC Lease Inc. It comprises 12 participating ocean carriers with a fleet of more than 8,000 chassis and is open to any international carrier or their agents using the BNSF Memphis terminal.
