The new Landstar U.S./Mexico Logistics Service Center’s yard is capable of holding over 450 trailers, 2.5 times the capacity of its previous Laredo facility.
Landstar System, Inc., an asset-light provider of integrated transportation management solutions, has moved its Laredo, Texas operations to a new, expanded logistics center, the company said last week.
Dubbed the Landstar U.S./Mexico Logistics Service Center, the new 31,000-square-foot facility is located on a 50-acre site, featuring a 30-bay cross-dock and transload facility.
Its new yard is capable of holding over 450 trailers, which is 2.5 times the capacity of the previous Laredo facility. The yard also has a dedicated heavy-haul section, which includes a 120-ton stand-alone bridge crane.
