Port of Vancouver, B.C. gets three post-Panamax cranes
The first of the three super post-Panamax cranes, built by Shanghai-based Zhenhua Port Machinery, arrived Wednesday at Deltaport terminal in the port of Vancouver, British Columbia. Another two cranes, destined for Vanterm terminal are expected to arrive Sunday.
The cranes have a total lift capacity of 65 tons and are capable of lifting two containers at a time.
The port of Vancouver said the cranes will be installed and operational within two months.
