LANECUADOR BEGINS U.S. OPERATIONS
LanEcuador will offer daily service between both Miami International Airport and New York’s JFK International Airport to Ecuador’s Quito and Guayaquil airports.
The Ecuadorian airline, which recently received approval to enter the United States from the U.S. Transportation Department, will operate a fleet of new Boeing 767-300s.
LanEcuador’s president Xavier Rivera said his passenger airline will also cater to air-cargo shippers.
New destinations, such as Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Madrid, Spain may be added by the airline in the near future.
