Nordana expands Med/U.S. multipurpose service
Nordana Line plans to add two roll-on/roll-off multipurpose vessels to its Mediterranean/Americas service, saying its cargo volumes have increased.
The vessels, “Marienborg” and “Charlottenborg,” will enter the service in June and July, bringing the number of ships in the service to five and raising its sailing frequency.
“Current vessel frequency and capacity must increase to meet market demand,” said Steen Obst, president of Nordana Line (USA) Inc.
The addition of these two vessels will increase nominal loading capacity on an annual basis to 22,000 TEUs from the current 14,000 TEUs. The Danish shipping line said it will announce details of a new schedule soon.
