ELLINGTON REJOINS WORLD AIRWAYS AS COO

   World Airways Inc. said Tuesday that John Ellington has rejoined the company as chief operating officer. He replaces Andrew 'Gil' Morgan who has left his post as president and COO. Hollis Harris, chairman and chief executive officer, assumes the duties and title of president.

   Ellington was World Airways' vice president of operations and deputy chief operating officer from June 1999 to September 2000. He spent more than 30 years with Delta Airlines and was vice president of flight operations and director of flight standards and training for American Trans Air.
