VANAL NAMED VP OF “K” LINE CANADA LTD.
Didier Vanal has assumed the title of vice president, “K” Line Canada Ltd., responsible for the line's eastern and western Canada operations.
“K” Line's senior management decided to consolidate the line's operations on both coasts with Vanal's appointment, which follows the retirement of Leona Yuasa, vice president of eastern Canada. Yuasa had been with “K” Line for 37 years.
Vanal had more than 15 years executive experience in the Canadian maritime industry, prior to joining “K” Line. He had been with NORTEC Marine Agencies, “K” Line's agent in Canada, since 1995, serving most recently as president. He was senior vice president of Inchcape Shipping Canada from 1991 to 1995, after serving with Marfret, a Marseille-based shipping line, since 1985.
