Executive Moves: Southwest Airlines and USCIB

Southwest Airlines Co. names director of cargo sales, and United Council for International Business appoints senior vice president of ATA Carnet and trade services.

Southwest Airlines Co. names director of cargo sales, and the United Council for International Business appoints senior vice president of ATA Carnet and trade services.

   Southwest Airlines Co. has promoted Steve Langhart to director of cargo sales. Langhart joined Southwest Airlines in 2008, holding various positions including manager of ramp and operations and cargo customer service manager at Houston’s Hobby Airport, along with senior manager of cargo customer experience. Prior to joining Southwest, he held several leadership positions at two other airlines.

   The United States Council for International Business (USCIB) has selected Andrew Shiles to lead its portfolio of trade services, naming him senior vice president of ATA Carnet and trade services. Shiles worked at FedEx Express for over 30 years, most recently as global regulatory compliance manager.He also has experience working with multiple government agencies, including the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
