Deringer acquires Seattle facility
A.N. Deringer Inc., a U.S. provider of logistics and supply chain services, has acquired the freight forwarding and customs brokerage operations in Seattle, Wash., of World Project Services International, Inc. Terms of the purchase were not announced.
Wayne Burl, chief executive officer of Deringer, said the new base in Seattle will 'improve our service offering to clients who of late have been particularly frustrated by the heavy congestion plaguing some of the more popular West Coast ports, like Los Angeles and Long Beach. This strategic acquisition presents viable alternatives to those ports.'
Deringer's new facility is located at 16238 42nd Avenue South, Tukwila, Wash., 98188; (206) 433-8557. Deringer is based in Saint Albans, Vt., and has 30 U.S. offices.
