HANJIN, SINOTRANS DROP SHIP FROM ASIA/EUROPE SERVICE
Hanjin Shipping and Sinotrans Container Lines are reducing the number of ships on their joint weekly Asia/Europe CEX service from nine to eight. Also, from August, Chiwan will replace the eastbound only call at Hong Kong.
The first vessel commencing the new proforma with eight ships will be the “Hanjin Praha” when it departs Xingang on June 25. Chiwan will be added eastbound on Aug 16.
The revised port rotation of the CEX service will be Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Singapore, Chiwan, Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Chiwan, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam and Felixstowe.
The CEX service uses eight vessel averaging almost 4,300 TEUs and COSCO, “K” Line, Yang Ming and Senator Lines all take space as part of the new
CKYHS alliance agreement.
