Ryder acquires Vertex Services
Ryder System Inc., a Miami-based transportation and supply chain management services provider, has bought Vertex Services, a provider of fuel storage tank compliance and fuel systems management services.
“Fuel storage tank management can be a challenge and burden for many companies,” said Chet Davis, president of Vertex Services, who explained that “our mutual customers” would benefit from “the merger of Ryder’s fleet management and logistics solutions and Vertex’s proprietary service tools used in fuel storage tank operations.”
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Vertex Services, based in Houston, has a customer base that includes Costco Wholesale, U.S. Concrete Inc.; Waste Management Inc., FuelQuest Inc. and Ryder.
