“K” Line establishes logistics business in Middle East

K Line Shipping and Logistics is a joint venture between Japan’s “K” Line and the Dubai-based Sharaf Group.

   Japan’s “K” Line has established a new company called K Line Shipping and Logistics (KLSL), which will be a joint venture between “K” Line and the Dubai-based Sharaf Group.
   KLSL will conduct businesses in the fields of marine transportation, land transportation and logistics, etc. and the company will develop new businesses actively through the networks of “K” Line and Sharaf Group, which has offices in the Middle East, Indian Sub-Continent, Red Sea, Africa, Europe,
Far East, South East Asia, Russia and Australia, and representative
offices in Japan, Korea, China and Europe.
   Sharaf Group was established in 1976 by Ibrahim Sharafuddin Sharaf and now has 11,000 employees. Sharaf Group’s operations include a shipping agency, the logistics companies Sharaf Logistics and Emirates Logistics, a retailer business, a travel agency and Sharaf Exchange.
