AEI BUYS PROJECT FORWARDER TRANSWORLD GROUP
Air Express International has acquired the Transworld group of companies, a Houston-based project forwarding specialist. Terms were not disclosed.
Transworld will operate under the name AEI Project Services as a separate division of AEI Ocean Services. The company will offer full-service, multi-vendor material management from manufacturer to job site, including over-sized cargo moves.
Transworld adds project-forwarding expertise to AEI’s service portfolio. AEI, which is being acquired by Deutsche Post and merged with Swiss forwarder Danzas, will offer Transworld global reach and resources.
