CaroTrans to benefit from agent’s expansion in Scandinavia, Baltic

CaroTrans International, a Union, N.J.-based non-vessel-operating common carrier, said it should benefit from the new partnership forged between its agent Nordicon and Christian Jensen Shipping.

“This is a welcome announcement for us,” said Michael Forkenbrock, vice president of sales for CaroTrans. “Our year-long relationship with Nordicon has exceeded our original expectations.”

The partnership with Chr. Jensen adds six new offices to Nordicon’s network: Copenhagen, Aarhus, Tallin, Riga, St. Petersburg and Moskva.

In August 2002, CaroTrans started a new direct service between the United States and Scandinavia that moved cargo destined for Sweden, Norway and Finland through New York.
