Yellow Roadway names Smid as president of Roadway Express

   Yellow Roadway Corp., a provider of transportation services, has appointed Michael J. Smid president of Roadway Express, a Yellow Roadway subsidiary.

   Smid was president of YRC Enterprise Services and the company’s chief integration officer. He succeeds Robert L. Stull, who has retired after 28 years with Roadway Express.

   Yellow Roadway’s subsidiaries besides Roadway Express include Reimer Express, USF, New Penn Motor Express and Meridian IQ.
