Pasha joins U.S./Hawaii trade
Pasha Hawaii Transport Lines is joining the U.S./Hawaii trade with a fortnightly roll-on/roll-off service, starting next week.
The 580-foot pure car truck carrier (PCTC) “Jean Anne” is scheduled to make its maiden voyage from the port of San Diego March 22. The full port rotation of the service is San Diego, Hilo, Kahului, Honolulu and back to San Diego.
Pasha Hawaii Transport Lines is a joint venture between the Corte Madera, Calif.-based Pasha Group and Strong Vessel Operators, formerly known as Van Ommeren Shipping (USA) LLC.
According to Pasha, the “Jean Anne” is the first PCTC to be built in the United States, and the first of its type to serve the mainland U.S. to Hawaii market.
