C.H. Robinson reports 16% profit increase
Minneapolis-based logistics company C.H. Robinson Worldwide said it had first quarter net profit of $97 million, a 15.5 percent increase over the comparable 2010 period.
Revenue in the first quarter ending March 31 was $2.37 million, 14 percent higher than the same 2010 period.
Net truck revenue rose 21.9 percent to $294.5 million; net intermodal revenue improved 13 percent to $9.6 million; net ocean revenue was up 24.3 percent to $15.6 million; net air revenue increased 4 percent to $9.2 million; while other logistics revenues was up 4.8 percent to $14.1 million. Sourcing revenues decreased 5.5 percent to $33 million, information services revenue slipped 13.3 percent to $14.4 million.
