UPS LAUNCHES WORLD EASE SHIPPING OPTION
UPS, the Atlanta-based integrator, has added UPS World Ease, an international shipping option to help businesses speed service to customers abroad.
World Ease allows users to ship multiple packages to different destinations in the same country as one designated shipment, UPS said. That allows goods to move directly through customs as a single unit, reducing the need for warehousing, inventory and shipping.
“This means that UPS’s transportation network becomes a sort of ‘in-transit’ warehouse,” said Anil Agrawal, chief operating officer of EcoQuest International, a UPS customer that produces air and water purification systems.
