TIACA FORMS SHIPPERS’ ADVISORY COUNCIL

The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) has developed a tripartite Shippers’
Advisory Council, involving the National Industrial Transportation League, European
Shippers’ Council and the Japan Shippers’ Council.

Peter Gatti, director of policy for the NIT League, will serve as the group’s first
chair. The council will be chaired traditionally by a shipper. The council plans to
exchange information industry-wide through fax, e-mail, mail and bulletins. The group will
also survey shippers internationally on practices and requirements. Already TIACA and the
NIT League have conducted a survey of U.S. shippers.
