CANADIAN NATIONAL LAUNCHES INTEGRATED INTERMODAL PROCESS
Canadian National has offered shippers a fully integrated electronic process to manage rail intermodal shipments under Canada Customs' Self-Assessment Program.
The railroad’s retail intermodal customers, as well as third-party shippers, will benefit from the automated process for CSA-approved companies importing goods into Canada, which also provides a “paperless” rail intermodal option to CSA’s importers now using highway carriers.
CSA, a new program from the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency designed to expedite the cross-border movement of goods, has designated CN as a low-risk carrier.
